Can Meprate Medicine Be Taken For Regulating Period?
Hi doc! I am 40 year old lady with two kids (caesarean) . My menstrual cycle has been quite irregular for past few months. I was advised Meprate by my doctor last month as i did not get my periods 23 days after the due date. my date last month was 16 th nov. This month I have to travel in last week of dec. So I took Meprate from 10th to 14th dec to ensure that I get my periods on time. Will I haav my perids on time? Does Meprate have any side effects? Does it also lead to weight gain? Pls help asap...
Yes tab meprate is used for regulating periods. There are some side effects of tab meprate. Most common side effects are anausea, vomiting, headache, breakthrough bleeding, spotting ,ammenorrhea , weight gain is there as you have asked, acne, increased body hair, increased facial hair, pruritis vulvae, mood swings, presipitation of diabetes, rise in Bp , thrombosis in heart and cerebral arteries, It is expected you will have periods in time, but failures in rare cases are there.
