Can Meprate Be Taken To Get Periods?

I have regular menstrual cycle and my due date was on 6th may is. 3 days ago I am doubtful about if I have conceived or not which we are not planning right now. Should I take meproate 10mg for 4 days and discontinue it after that to get my period . I took meproate 10mg for 4 days once in the past when I missed my periods for 3 months and I was not pregnant Should I take it this time at this stage?

Hi,
I understand your concern.
I feel before taking any pill for inducing period, you should do pregnancy test .
If the test is -ve, Meprate will induce period. But it does not have any role in starting bleeding ( terminating pregnancy) if pregnancy is +ve.On the other hand it has bad effects on fetus ( causes congenital malformations). So there is no sense in taking Meprate in +ve pregnancy test. You need to take medicines for medical termination of pregnancy, in that case.
