Can MVP Or MR Cause Chills In Legs With Swelling In Fingers?

I have been diagnosed with MVP and severe mitral regurgitation. Just had a TEE yesterday and am wearing a Holter monitor now. Will see the cardiologist again in 3 weeks to discuss surgical repair / replacement of the mitral valve. I am now noticing a cold feeling in legs and also in my arms to a lessor extent, and my fingers are swelling but not my feet. I feel like I am drugged as well. Can these symptoms be related to my MVP and MR? Or should I go to the ER and get checked out?

Hello,

It is not related to MVP MR. If symptoms persist, it is better to consult a physician and get evaluated.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care
