Can Lyrica Be Taken Along With Diazepam?

I am suffering from an injury to my nerves in my spine the doctor has recommended 50 mg of Lyrica I took it at a higher dosage a couple weeks ago it made me very tired/goofy so I he recommended only 50 milligrams this evening ...I usually take one blue diazepam at night to assist with my sleeping ... Is it safe to take the Lyrica and diazepam this evening?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello. The only problem with combining the two medications is drowsiness. But if you only take the diazepam at night this probably won't cause any problem.
