Can Levofloxacin Or Clindamycin Be Taken For Cold?

My husband is a Peritoneal Dialysis patient. His has had some type of bronchial infection w/ severe coughing for two weeks. Would like to know if amiodarone HCL 200 MG, Clindamycin HCL 300 MG or Levofloxacin 750 MG would be something he can take to help with this cold. They are on hand, but I don t know what their purpose is.

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

He is a high-risk candidate for infection. In such patients, we have to start multiple antibiotics and that’s why we had started two antibiotics.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
