Can Levofloxacin Be Taken For Cold Before Colonoscopy?

Doctor....I was prescribed levofloxacin 500mg, with instructions to take at the onset of a cold without waiting or further advice from the doc. I am now feling the onset --but before takin this ask your advice...for I am booked for a colonoscopy tomorrow morning.......should I take???
