Can Keflex And Ceftin Be Taken Together?

I was diagnosed with an ear infection and my doctor prescribed ceftin. I have a family history of heart disease and now my blood pressure is elevated and my heart rate is a little rapid. the last blood pressure reading was 169/96. I have Keflex, should I d/c the ceftin and start the Keflex?

Hi,

I will not recommend you take these two antibiotics together. They are basically targeting the same germs with one being more potent than the other. I will suggest that you get a doctor to evaluate your disease state and manage your condition with whichever works better for you.
