Can Invega Sustenna And Ziprasidone Be Taken Together?

Our son, 26, is on a monthly injection of Invega Sustenna and is also taking Ziprasidone orally. He seems to be doing pretty well so far, although he is often sleepy. We would like to possibly wean him off the Invega and onto oral medication as we may be moving overseas and want him to be portable. So, several questions: Is it safe for him to be on both medications at the same time? What is the safest way to wean him off the Invega onto the Ziprasidone? Don t they both treat the same condition of Schizo-Affective disorder? Should he be having blood tests? I am not sure of the Invega mg. dosage, but he is on 60 mg. Ziprasidone just one per day.
