Can Ibuprofen Treat Knee Injury?

I was wondering if I would be able to take a short course treatment of ibuprofen approximately 400 mg once or twice a day. I had a right nephrectomy two Years ago.my kidney function has since been stable.I did just get a recent injury to my knee which Tylenol did not seem to help at all so I was hoping to take some ibuprofen for a few days until the swelling goes down.

Hi,Thanks for your query. After going through your query I came to know that you got recent injury to your knee. you also got your right nephrectomy done two year ago,but your kidney function is normal. As your kidney function is normal you can take few days course of ibuprofen safely till swelling goes down. You can discuss with your treating Doctor about it.
