Can Ibuprofen And Tramadol Be Taken Together For Severe Backache?

My doctor prescribed both Ibuprofen and tramadol for severe back pain in my vertebrae.I will be 93 years old next October. Why did he give me two pain killers. I have an appointment on Monday but I am afraid to take either one. When I saw him this past Friday he gave me three pills to use before the prescriptions are filled. I don t know what these three pills are except they are blue and the Ibuprofen and Tramadol tablets are white. Thank you.

Hi,
Welcom to
Healthcaremagic.com
Going through your query it seems to me you have severe back pain. Doctor must have prescribed too analgesics which act differently on pain and increase the chances to reduce it.
Because both these analgesics have agonists to one another and complement each ones effect to have the best results for back pain.
Hope you will find my answer helpful and you will be healthy soon.
Regards
