Hi, I am currently waiting to see if I have ovulated following my first cycle of clomid. I really hope to have conceived but the problem is I have just found out I have thread worms! My husband and child have taken the tablets but it says pregnant women should not. My question is as I don't know yet either way would it be ok to take a tablet as I can't stand the thought of these horrible things! Thank you

Hi, I have read your query & understand your concern. De worming medicines are strongly contraindicated in pregnancy for risk of congenital anomalies in baby. Fortunately thread worms are not known to cause harmful effect of fetal growth. Still severe infestations can be treated with expert's advise & special precautions. Otherwise, Herbal remedies like chewing raw garlic pieces before food helps to control the worms from growing. Eating lot of fibers helps normal bowel movements & digestion. Personal hygiene like keeping short nails With special care for hand washing after using toilet. / washing hands before cooking/gardening/serving food, avoid sharing same bed, towels, clothes. Thanks.
