Can I Start A Lower Dose As Higher Dose Causes Memory Loss?

I started taking the started kit. Was pleased with results even with such a short period of time. When on larger dose after three weeks started having memory loss. My doctor told me to stop taking med. hate stopping because med was working. Had no other reaction. Can I start lower dose or take prescription every other day?
