Hello and welcome To Healthcare Magic .

Both Glyciphage SR 500 mg and Glyciphage R have Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg as the active ingredient , both being used in PCOD ,the only difference lies in the rate of action .
Glyciphage R is a slow release(SR) formulation which acts gradually over a few hours but the efficacy is the same .It has a slighty more satisfactory response from patients .

Please do check that Glyciphage R also contains Metformin Hydrochloride 500 mg only as some preparations can contain higher quantity .

Hope this helps .

Thanks .
