Can Heparin Cause Diarrhea?

Hello -- My mother has been suffering from diarrhea since having to inject herself with Heprin for a blood clot in her lungs 3 days ago. The doctor doesn t believe it gives diarrhea, but nothing else has changed other than starting this medication at 80 mg twice a day. Is there anything she can do besides taking Imodium? She has to be on Heprin for 6 months.

consult the doctor who has advised the treatment.it can not be linked to diarrhea. it can be due to other reason. maintain hydration get stool examined.can take second opinion about taking heparin for 6 months.take a course of metrogyl tablet can take norfloxacin tz for two days.
