Can Gravibinan Be Taken During Early Pregnancy?

Hi, My daughter born last Fri (18-11-2016), had a seizure episode on the 3rd & 4th day and she was taken to NICU immediately diagnosing with phenobarbitone / levipill syrup which subseqentely stopped the seizures, she has not gotten any seizures in the last 5 days and Doctor has adviced to continue with levipill syrup alone for the last 2days. We were told that she has a blood clot in the peripheral artery of the brain. Could someone help in answering on how this would be seen in the future, as i m feeling good with my Doctors, but wanted to take others suggestsion as well. Doctors too advised that this would be automatically dislodged within 3 months and we will have to wait and watch.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Thanks for writing to HealthCareMagic, I am Dr Muhammd Ahmad, I have closely read your question and I understand your concerns, I will hereby guide you regarding your health related problem.

Clots in brain usually have a good prognosis if there is no damage to any brain part, your doctor responded quite promptly so i believe there wouldn't have been any damage to the brain in this situation prognosis is real good and patient can live a life with normal quality and span. There is nothing to worry as yet you will just have to wait and watch.

Only a few things have to be kept in mind in these circumstances.
1) If she gets fits again, immediately notify your doctor.
2) Make sure you take regular suggested follow ups and regular medication is given.
3) If she gets weakness of any body part of her consiou level level deteriorates immediately seek medcial help.

Rest should stay fine in my opinion.

I hope this answered your question, if you have more feel free to ask, otherwise close the discussion and rate it.

Regards.
