Can Eptoin Be Taken For A Long Duration?

hello sir thanks for helping me my child got 1 seizure only for 1-2 min i recommend gangaram doctors they started eptoin syrup ....but now my child is ok .................i want to ask how long it is being given ...........what are the side effct of it

Hello,

Always weighing risk-benefit ratio is a must. As long as seizures are controlled it is fine to use phenotyin is the actual drug name.

It causes drowsiness, slurred speech, muscle power slightly comes down, but these can be managed well at home. If the frequency of seizures increases the kindly visit the hospital if a needed change of dose is required.
