Can Doxycycline And Iron Tablets When Taken Together Cause Drug Interaction?
hi my client has come to see me regarding her skin.. I am doing research and she was prescribed doxycycline whish she took for 2 weeks this was to slow down the bacteria growth. she is also on iron tablets would both medicines collide and make skin more aggravated?? thank you G

Welcome to HCM. Sorry to hear about her skin condition. Yes the Iron tablets will bind to Doxycycline in the stomach, making it more ineffective. The pills should be taken at least 3 hours apart. I hope this helps. Good luck
