Can Doxycycline BID Affect The Contraceptive Ability Of Mirena IUD?
I was recently started on 100 mg doxycycline BID for treatment of acne. I m concerned about this antibiotic potentially reducing the effectivity of my Mirena IUD. Is there any evidence that doxycycline use interferes with the Mirena s contraceptive ability?

It is unlikely that doxycycline interferes with the contraceptive efficacy of Mirena(levonorgestrol) IUCD.
