Can Donepezil, Torsemide And Midodrine Be Taken Together By A Heart Patient?

Is it safe to prescribe donepezil, torsemide and midodrine simultaneously for heart patients who have mild dementia? It seems that the side effects of these meds are overwhelming: Torsemide causes low blood pressure; midodrine increases blood pressure. Appears that one is causing effects that the other is cancelling or vice versa. Donepezil, torsemide and midodrine all cause dizziness!! Are there newer drugs on the market that can be taken by heart/ dementia patients that have less damaging side effects?

Hello,

All the molecules Donepezil, Torsemide, and Midodrine, need to be given with completer clinical assessment of course there is interaction between these drugs so the medical supervision is must, here you have not given complete clinical details, what type of cardiac disease is patient having, what is a age of patient and gender, in absence of these information nothing much can be said but care need to be taken while giving theses drugs (Dosages timing, clinical indication, clinical symptoms) close monitoring is advisable.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
