Can Daphne Oral Contraceptive Cause Menstrual Irregularities?

Hi..Good day! I m 30 years old, married for 8 years. I have something to ask about my concern in taking daphne pills. It s my 3rd months now of taking it but I m not having my menstrual period. Before I m not taking daphne, my menstruation is normal but now it s already 2 months of not having menstruation. Is it normal when you take this pill? What should I do? Is it okay to switch to another brand of pill?

Oral contraceptive pills (OCP) can cause irregular menstruation. This is seen in initial months of taking OCP. With time, menstrual cycle becomes regular even on continuing OCP. Daphne is a cyproterone acetate ethinyl estradiol based OCP. You can switch to levonorgestrel ethinyl estradiol pills. But all OCPs cause irregular menstruation to some extent.
Advice
1.     Switch to levonorgestrel ethinyl estradiol pills such as Loette (Pfizer brand) which is available in Hong Kong
2.     Keep yourself hydrated by drinking 4 – 5 liters of water daily
3.     Avoid coffee, smoking, high fat diet and alcohol
4.     Consume less salt in diet before period
5.     Do meditation and workout in gym
