Hi Dear,

Welcome to HCM.

Understanding your concern. As per your query your child's symptoms such as cough, watery eyes, runny nose is due to sinusitis/ upper respiratory tract infection. As your child not getting relief and you want to give Claritin to your child which you can give. I would suggest you to give it to your child but give it for short duration as it is steroid. Give steam inhalation to your child. Use humidifiers in child's room. Give throat lorazenges. Do warm saline gargles along with vaporizers. Your child' symptoms will resolve in one week. Visit pediatrician once and get it examined if symptoms keeps on persisting. You should get chest x-ray done if cough and dyspnea will be there. Go for blood and sputum test as well.

Hope your concern has been resolved.

Best Wishes,
