Can Claritin-D Be Taken For Tinnitus?

I have been suffering with pulsating tinnitus since November 2016. Saw and ENT and had hearing test which was fine. Saw vascular doctor and told me that 20% of the people have this. My Carotid US was negative, frontal Head CT Scan was negative. I have been self treating with Clariten D and 500 mg of magnesium. Although I just decided to stop the magnesium as I was starting to have joint pain. I am at a loss what to do. I just scheduled a second opinion with a different ENT. I would appreciate any input.

ENT Specialist 's  Response
Hello,

Do a CT scan head with special mention to Cerebro pontine angle. If it is normal, then nothing to worry about it. Avoid taking tea and coffee. Listen to some music so that you can avoid hearing the sound. Ignore the sound. Use tinnitus maskers which are available nowadays.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
