Can Cetirizine And Virtussin Be Taken Together?
I have had a heavy nose drainage cold since monday with a slight cough. I m taking cetirizine10 mg 1x or 2x a day. My cough has gotten worse (not yet in my chest). I could like to take Virtussin ac syrup for my cough (5-10 ml) every 4-6 hours as needed. Is it OK to continue the cetirizine?

I can understand your concern.
Vertussin AC syrup contains codeine so when you will take it with cetrizine,the combination will cause increased sedation otherwise these two drugs can be taken together.
Just be aware that the sedation will be more if cetrizine and vertussion will be taken together.
