Can Carbidopa Be Taken While On Calcitonin?
what drugs interact adversely with Calcitonin Salmon nasal spray? I am currently taking 25/100 mg carba-dopa 4 x s a day for my parkinsonism symptoms of imbalance issues, swallowing and speech issues, and cursive handwriting that has become very small and almost illegible. The calcitonin was prescribed for osteoporosis which was diagnosed after my rent dexa scan.

Carbidopa alone is not effective in relieving the signs and symptoms of Parkinson's disease, in fact it is always prescribed in combination with Levodopa (in the ratio of 1:10 to 1:4).
There is no documented harmful interaction between Calcitonin Salmon nasal spray and Carbidopa+Levodopa combination hence Calcitonin can be taken while on Carbidopa+Levodopa.
