Can Botox Injections Relieve Pain Of Trigeminal Neuralgia?

I have tried everything under the sun to release the pain from my Trigeminal Neuralgia. Now I have just heard of Botox Shots. I reside outside if Scranton, Pa. Is there a physician or clinic near me which can administer such? Thank you, Mrs. Zipi Weinberg 1/1/16

Hello and welcome to HCM,
Botox injections are administered into the muscles to relax the muscles.
Relaxation of muscles leads to disappearance of wrinkles.
Trigeminal neuralgia is a nerve related disorder and it cannot be relieved by botox injections into the muscles.
Trigeminal neuralgia is treated by a group of drugs called anti-epileptic drugs.
I suggest you to consult a neurologist for clinical assessment and thus treatment of trigeminal neuralgia by suitable anti-epileptic drugs.

Thanks and take care
