Can Benadryl Be Taken While Suffering From Dry Eyes?

I m having an allergic reaction to meloxicam with itching and a mild rash. I took benadryl but found out that the half life is nineteen hours. My problem is that I had cataract surgery around 2 1/2 weeks ago and my eyes are already dry. Is it safe to keep taking more benadryl??

there is no contraindication for using benadryl in dry eye and after cataract surgery.
if you have unbearable symptoms of dry eye then you can safely use following lubricating drops to retain moisture in eyes.
Eye drop lubrex or refresh tears 4 times a day for 1 month
