Can Azrithmycin Intake Be Stopped Abruptly?

it s my 2 nd day on Azrithmycin and just had a terrible diarrhea attack. It s all over my carpet.( no help coming in today so will have to deal with it myself) I am 88 and was taking it for a bronchial cough that I have had for 6 days. Don t really want to finish the pack, and I am feeling much better, Had 100.8 fror 2 days now it s been normal and I feel more like myself today. The doctor was away so yesterday went in for a chest xray and blood work. xray was fine., that was when his nurse reached him and thought I should start the medication though he was not able to examine me in person. Am feeling like I might have to go again soon. Is it terrible if I stop the and don t take the last 3 days?

hi
if azithromycin has caused diarrhea, your doctor may prescribe other antibiotics.it is always safe to take probiotics, lactobacil containing medicines for changes in bowel flora due to antibiotics and antimicrobials and prevent diarrhea as a side effect of some medicines.
