Can Atenonal Effect Blood Pressure?

I take atenonal & have been taking 1/2 of a 25 mg tablet for 10 days. Prior to that I took a whole 25 mg tablet. Until tonight my blood pressure has been around 124/83. Right now it s 160/114, 150/ 106 (I took multiple readings). What, if anything should I do?

Hello
Welcome to HCM
Thanks for posting your query. Atenolol belongs to beta blockers group of drugs. It is a good antihypertensive. As you are taking half the dosage from 10 days, it's not enough to control your blood pressure.

So I would advice you to take full dosage that is 25mg of the drug. You should change the dose without consulting your doctor.

Hope this helps you
Thank you
