Can Artane Cause Tremors?

Recently, I have been taking Artane 11/2 tablets at 2 mg am/pm.. I also take Lithium, Depakote, Abilify for bi-polar disorder, and levothyroxine. To mitigate my tremors, Primidone and recently Artane, were added to my regimen. After taking the Artane, my shakes have worsened. My Dr. says we should continue and gradually increase the Artane. I am confused. Is there a possible counter-indication he has misses, and should I continue the Artane, as he has advised. Thank you, Marcus

General Surgeon 's  Response
Hello,

It is not related to artane. If symptoms persist better to consult a neurologist and get evaluated. In severe cases, an MRI brain may be required.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Shinas Hussain, General & Family Physician
