Can Aquaphor Be Used To Heal Irritated Vaginal Area?
Hi, i irritated my vaginal area with nair. Apparently some got a little to close to the vaginal lips and now i believe the area is irritated. I have some aquaphor, can this be used to help with the irritation? There is no pain or discomfort at the moment, I just know that it was irritated because it started to burn.

Definitely, use of Nair may cause irritation many a times and particularly its use on the delicate skin like vagina. Use of Aquaphor ointment may definitely give relief in your symptoms, as it is a moisturizer used to treat or prevent dry, rough, scaly and itchy skin and minor cuts or irritations in the skin.
However, if the symptoms do not resolve within some time or becomes more intense, then you are required to see your doctor, as there might be chances of infection necessitating the use of antibiotic locally or systemically.

Irritation, pain and burning sensation in the vaginal region could be due to infection. I suggest you not to touch the site and avoid sexual contact for few days. If the symptoms continue for longer, then you need to consult your gynecologist for antimicrobial treatment.
