Can Amoxicillin Be Taken For Pain During Urination?

Hi, I took Amoxicilin back in October for a UTI. It looks like the UTI is back, it does not hurt too much, it hurts a little bit more in the morning but as I drink more water during the day the pain decreases. Is it OK if I start raking amoxicilin again? I have Amoxicilin 500 mg, should it be taken twice a daybor once? How many days?

Hello,

Amoxicillin is an antibiotic for killing of certain bacteria, so it will take of inflammation process inside first and then secondary effect of that would be of decrease in pain, not directly.

Secondly, taking antibiotics on your own can develop resistance of your body to certain drugs, so, I do not recommend to take the molecule on your own as it is handy to you, rather than consult your doctor and, then start antibiotic according to the medical guidance.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
