Can Alka-Seltzer Plus Cause Anxiety?
Cold medicine usually makes me anxious and jittery...I have a bad cold ...will Alka Seltzer Plus Night time medicine do this to me ?....the day tablets work fine, however there is an added ingredient for the night time version (doxylamine succinate 6.25)

It may be the decongestant in the cough and cold medication that is causing the anxious sensation. This is a possible side effect of oral decongestants, that is pseudoephedrine or phenylephrine. You should consider looking at the ingredients of any cough/cold meds or allergy meds and avoid those that contain these ingredients. The alka seltzer plus night does have a decongestant, so it may not agree with you.
