Can Alfuzosin And Flomax Be Taken Together For Urinary Problems?

I have a problem with urinating. Feel like I have to go, but very little comes out. Was on Flomax for several years. The problem got worse. My regular doctor thought it was a prostate problem so he prescribed Alfuzosin. Was fine for 2 weeks, but now the problem is back and getting worse. Would taking both Alfuzosin and Flomax help?

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,
Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Both Alfuzocin & Flomax are observed to have same effect in managing the prostatic hyperplazia as well as urine flow .
No the drugs are not b to be taken in combination ( unless of course prescribed by treating doctor.. who would review for possible after effects & manage them as per need,).. when taken together they were observed to lower blood pressure followed by more serious complications ( which need to be monitored by treating doctor. )
Thanks
