Can Aleve Or Ibuprofen Help Relieving For Foot Pain?

My husband hurt his foot tonight. a log spliter fell on the top of his foot. He is in a lot of pain and wants to take either aleve or ibuprofen to relieve the pain. He is currently taking Valsartan 5-320 MG 1 per day and Toprol XL 25 MG 1 per day. his other medications are Pletal 100 MG 1 per day, Zocor 20 MG 1 per day and Flomax 0.4 MG 1 per day. can he take either of these pain relievers for his foot? Thank you

Hi,

Thank you for providing the brief history of your husband.

As he is having pain in the feet, he can surely take an Ibuprofen as it is a good pain reliever. Taking a hot water fermentation for soothing effect should also make some help in reducing the pain.

Also, later stages if pain doesn't come down than taking an x-ray will be of good choice for safety.
