Can 1 Cm Dilation At 39 Weeks Cause Early Labor?
hi this is my first pregnancy and i am 39 weeks today...my actual due date is june 22nd and i havent been feeling any kind of serious abdominal pain either. i went to the doctor last thursday and they informed me that i was 1cm dialated does this insure that i could be dialated even more when go to the doctor tomorrow and could i be having my baby sooner than my due date.

1cm dilatation is normal at 39 weeks.. You wont dilate that fast unless you get pain or leaking.. You are more likely to go till term.. Since this is your first pregnancy, the time taken for dilatation to occur to much more than multigravida..Keep a check on baby movements.. Visit your doctor by 40th week or earlier if you have pain or leaking.. Hope i have answered your query.. good day..
