Blood During Bowel Movement, Constipation. Had Accident 2 Days Back

I was in a car accident two days ago. I did not see a doctor because I did not feel that bad. Today I had bright red blood when I had a bowel movement which has never happened to me before. However, I was constipated yesterday and today. So, it could be that I pushed to hard. Just not sure if I should worry. Please advise

Hello,
Thanks for the query to H.C.M. Forum.
Since you were not having any history of bleeding / rectum so this is a very good thing.
In my opinion forcible evacuation ( straining ) developed blood during defecation .
Red color ( bright ) was a proof that just it was due to straining .
In my opinion don't consult a specialist and this is not a cause of concern.
If recurs ( bleeding ) then consult a doctor .
Good luck. Dr. HET
