Are Wrinkles In Inner Membrane Of Retina A Natural Ageing Process?

My optomolugist indicates I have in the ineer membraine of the retina and irregular share and has wrinkling. He indicated this could lead to retian detachment or tear and that and OCT test is the only way to evaluate it properly. Before I pay for this test, which I assume isn t going to be cheap, my question is, Is this part of the aging process. I am 62 year old female in excellent health and have had no injury to eyes.
