Are Urine Specific Gravity At The High End And PH At The Low End Reasons For Concern?

Hello, My urine analysis test results came online a few hours ago, but my physician has not yet had time to discuss the results with me. The abnormal results are as follows: Bilirubin, Urine     1+ RBC, Urine     11-20 /HPF Squamous Epithelial, Urine     Rare /HPF Bacteria, Urine     Few /HPF Mucus, Urine     Present /LPF Calcium Oxalate Crystals, Urine     Few /HPF That s about it except that my urine specific gravity was at the high end (1.035) and the pH was at the low end (5.0). I suspect liver problems. Thank you kindly for your time and information. I also have a CBC blood test which I should do in a separate e-mail. Again, thanks truly, Sincerely, Criss Sargent

Hi,

Your urine shows increased bilirubin and red blood cells. So a liver problem like jaundice might be present as your bilirubin is increased in urine.

For that, you have to investigate with serum bilirubin estimation and ultrasonography abdomen. The presence of red blood cells in urine could be from urinary tract infection or stone-like a problem.

Kindly upload the reports to guide you further. According to the cause-specific treatment given.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
