Hello, My periods always arrive like clockwork and I have a 23/24 day cycle. My last period was on April 12 and lasted for 3 days. I had unprotected sex on April 24. My period was approximately 2 days late when I took a pregnancy test yesterday May 8 and it was obviously negative. Late last night when I went to the bathroom, when I wiped there was bright red blood. This morning when I went to bathroom again and wiped it was more of a light brown colour with a bit of mucousy type discharge. None of this is at all like the start of a normal period for me. Any chance I took the test took early? Had a few potential pregnancy symptoms, or at least symptoms that I wouldnt normally have with PMS. Just wanted a doctor s general opinion as I am currently living overseas in a foreign country and don t have the ability to easily see a doctor.
