Are Tingling And Numbness In Finger Tips Symptoms Of Diabetic Neuropathy?

I am a 71-year-old, long-time, Type II diabetic who also has problems with spinal stenosis, degenerative disc disease, heart disease (CAD/atrial fib/CHF), high blood pressure, cholesterol under control with medication, and Barrett s. About 5 months ago started having tingling, loss of sensation in the finger tips. Also have very dry skin that cracks in winter. Gabapentin did not help and side effects were unacceptable. Symptoms ease temporarily with moisturizing. Is it diabetic neuropathy?

Thanks for asking at Healthcare magic. I read your question and I understand your concern.
tingling and loss of sensation in finger tips can be due to diabetic neuropathy; spinal stenosis, vitamin B12 deficiency.
All that you to do is to do HBA1C level, Nerve conduction studies of affected side.
Take Pregabalin or Dulouxetine to relieve these.
Also take multivitamins to replete vitamin deficiencies.
Hope it helps best.
Take your best care.
