Are There Any Side Effect Of Taking Steroid Shot?
i recieved a steroid shot for a bad case of allergies the 24th of August i was due to have my period the 1st of September and now I m three days late i hav taken multiple pregnancy test all negative. Could the shot at the dr office caused a dellay in my cycle?

Steroid shot is used in the treatment of various inflammatory conditions such as allergies, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease or COPD, arthritis, skin and soft tissue disorders like psoriasis, SLE etc, blood disorders, eye disorders, ear disorders and many more. Steroid shot may cause temporary changes to menstrual periods and make them irregular, prolonged or heavier. Again, it may cause delayed menstrual cycles. Steroid induced delayed menstrual cycles are usually self limiting and don't need any medical treatment. After stop taking Steroid shot, your menstrual periods will eventually return to normal. But, if this side effect persists for long or bother you, then you should consult your doctor first for medical attention. Again, if you think that you may become pregnant, then do pregnancy test 7 days after the next missed period.
