Are There Any Interactions Between Losartan Potassium, Amlodipine Besylate, Hydrochlorothiazide, Aspirin And Potassium Klor-con 10 MEQ?

On my Rx I am currently taking are Losartan potassium 100mg tab and Amlodipine besylate 10 mg tab, hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg tab, Aspirin 81mg daily and now this week I started taking potassium Klor-con 10 MEQ tablet 1 everyday, I want to know if there are any interactions and when should I take my potassium? I do not take the Amlodipine because with the 100mg I take and the rest I feel my body weak at times like if my vital blood pressure is 126/86 should I take my meds then I have some breakfast first then take my meds I am taking my potassium later at around lunchtime or early dinner 5pm, please advise

Hi,

While each medicine may have its own side effects, there are no known interactions between the medications you have listed. Most notably, the last one "Potassium Klor-con 10 MEQ" is in essence a salt-tablet to prevent that you loose too many electrolytes from your hypertension treatment.

I suggest taking the potassium in the morning. While I do not know your age, in elderly and weakened patients a blood pressure of 126/86 might be considered too low. I would have a chat with your doctor about the need for the 10mg Amlodipine, and maybe ask if you need to measure your blood pressure x 3 a day for 3 days.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
