Are The Two Drugs, Amitriptyline And Amlodipine, Same And Can It Be Used For Nerve Pain?
im confused...... i was told i was to be prescribed Amitriptyline for nerve pain.... when i collected my drugs it says Amlodipine on the packet , with a sticker with my details on etc. saying Amitriptyline ? are they same drug? the info inside says it is used for high blood pressure??

Yes both are completely different medicines.Your doctor has prescribed you a medicine containing amitriptyline for your nerve pain is correct treatment,But due to a mistake you got amlodipine and yes this is used to control the blood pressure in hypertensive patients.So my suggestion is always remember one thing you must get rechecked medicines by your doctor after taking them from pharamacist,so that such things will not happen.Hope this help.
