Are Swollen Fingers And Tingling Sensation Symptoms Of A Torn Tendon?

Ive had tendons repaired in my upper arm along with a rotator cuff repair 4 years ago. Recently I ve been lifting light weights, I also type at a computer all day. My arm is tingling and sometimes my fingers swell-only on the right side where i had all the work done. Could I have torn the tendons again? SOme days it s actually panful.

Hi,

Swelling of fingers and its possible causes are:

1. Carpal tunnel syndrome
2. Lymphedema
3. Raynaud disease
4. Overuse
5. High sodium diet
6. Hot climate
7. External injuries
8. Water retention etcetera

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Please consult your doctor, he will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
