Are Spasms Expected After Getting A Radical Cervical Disc Replacement?

hi several months ago 5, I had a radical cervucal disc replacement at c5/6. I also had severe bilateral foraminal stenosis with disc rupture as a result from an accident there is some bulging in the disc above also. i am continuing to have bilateral arm pain and neck spasms and pain under the scapula w/ throbbing nerve pain to the left arm. usually how long before all the pain subsides. There has been significant relief from the surgery, yet still ongoing. Is it possible that there has been further degeneration to the disc space above that is causing the pain? age 43 height 5ft 4in. 125 pounds.

yes sir, one can have spasm in cervical region after surgery. since its too deep heat and cold modalities wouldnt relax it soon. to get good result you might have to approach dry needling or acupuncture method. the needles will go deep and release the spam and then following exercise the pain can get reduced to maximum. for further queries you can contact your physio or me
