Are Red Spottty Rashes On Body While Having Lichen Sclerosus Normal?
Hi, I woke up this a.m. with a rash mainly on my stomach and chest, it has spread during the day some on arms and legs, top of feet etc. The rash is small red spots some with white pustules, it hasn t been itchy but is now some what itchy. I have Lichen Sclerosus (vaginal and anal). What do you think this rash might be??.topping
Hi. As per your case history you are having allergic dermatitis. These rashes are not related to lichen sclerosus. My treatment advice is - 1. Avoid any new products like soap or perfume as it may worsen the condition. 2. Apply a mild topical steroid cream like mometasone cream on affected skin. 3. Take an antihistamine medication like levocetrizine twice daily for 7-10 days. 4. Other treatment options are oral steroid like prednisone and higher antihistamines like hydroxyzine taken only after consulting a dermatologist.
Thanks. Dr. Harshit bhachech. MBBS, DDVL.
