Are Persistent Cough And Breathing Difficulty Symptoms Of Collapsed Lung?

Hi, I have a broken rib, and yesterday, a great deal of pressure was applies to it several times that couldn t be helped. Today, my breathing is very shallow, and it s not a panic attack because I ve tried ativan. I also have a day persistent cough. Could I have a collapsed lung?

Persistent cough and breathing difficulty following an injury to rib indicates there could be certain problems associated with lungs. However, based on symptoms alone, it would be difficult to say you could have collapsed lung.
Kindly get a Chest X-ray done at the earliest and consult Physician for clinical examination, so that it can be diagnosed appropriately. Further, it can be managed accordingly.
