Are Nausea And Cramps Signs Of Pregnancy?

My doctor prescribed prozac to me a month ago. My monthly periods are regular until now. I'm 7 days late and all pregnancy tests were negative at home. After the third late day, I had some cramping and horrible nausea for about three days. I do t understand how my HPT could be negative. Is there a correlation between missed periods and Prozac?

HI,
I understand your concern.
Prozac is an anti depressant drug. It is not known to cause menstrual irregularity. It somehow can lead to side effects like nausea, stomach cramps & also abnormal milk secretions,soreness & enlargement of breast.-
All these side effects disappear after few months of of use.
Now for your case-
- Pregnancy test is positive after 7 days of delay in menses. Please repeat it again after 1 week Or go for lab. pregnancy test( of blood)
If that stands -ve, it may come late. Observe for a couple of months . If irregularity persists you should consult your doctor for-
-change of medication,
- investigations for hormonal imbalance.
