Hello,
You are suggested to get him
urinalysis (R/E and C/S) done. If UTI is detected, he will be treated with specific antibiotics. He should take adequate water and fluids. Citralka is used to treat
gout and
kidney stones because it helps stop uric acid production. Before giving Citralka you should get imaging tests done to detect kidney stones.
Get blood tests done to detect uric acid. He should take diet high in fiber and laxatives for better bowel movement. Taking raw and ripe papayas also help in better bowel movement naturally. He should avoid taking food that triggers gas formation. He should take boiled food for a couple of days. Avoid taking oily, spicy, junk food.
He can take antacids and PPIs,
proton pump inhibitors to reduce overproduction of stomach acid. He can get clinically examined by a GP and get tests and investigations done to rule out ulcer (esophageal or peptic). He should avoid taking alcohol, drugs,
smoking or any other addiction.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Nupur K., General & Family Physician
