Are Memory Loss And Slurred Speech A Common Side Effect Of Epilepsy?

I have been diagnosed with epilepsy, and I was wondering if memory loss is a common side effect? There have been days in which I have forgotten my own name. Also, after my last seizure, well last sever one, I have been slurring my words and stuttering..

Symptoms you refer are possible after a seizure and should improve gradually.

If memory loss is prolonged it may be linked to antiseizure drugs adverse effects.
